The GREAT Campaign is the UK’s flagship international marketing campaign. GREAT promotes all four corners of the UK and proudly showcases the very best of British, inspiring the world to collaborate, visit, study and do business here. This year is an exciting year for the GREAT campaign. The Prime Minister launched our refreshed GREAT brand to the world on the eve of the G7 in Cornwall last month. The new GREAT brand is inspired by the spirit of the UK itself, as an outward-looking nation with a ceaseless drive to create, innovate and challenge the status quo. We want to invite international visitors, students, and businesses alike to see things differently, a powerful invitation both to change the way in which they see the UK, as well as to join us in embracing fresh perspectives.
In short: the strength of the UK comes from its ability to see things from unique and fresh perspectives. The GREAT Campaign aims to encourage the world to join us and do the same.

How did you come to be a partner in the Love Letters from Britain series?
Walpole has been a partner of the GREAT campaign since the very beginning, so naturally the Walpole team felt like the series could be a good fit for GREAT. Following conversations, it became clear that the concept at the very heart of the series – to tell the untold stories of British luxury – is very well aligned with GREAT’s aim to encourage the world to see the UK differently.
What is about British luxury that appeals to global audiences?
The world is fascinated by how the UK’s history and modernity intersects and works together. The UK and its luxury industry offer the world a unique blend of heritage and modernity, craftsmanship and creativity as well as bold approaches to sustainability that are helping to combat the climate challenges the world faces. Nowhere else in the world offers this unique combination.
How important is it to share the untold stories of the UK’s finest brands?
Our refreshed brand is all about sharing the stories of the people and places that make our country unique and inviting the world to join us and see things differently. The stories and brands featured in the Love Letters from Britain series are great exemplars of the UK’s innovative spirit and GREAT is proud to partner with BBC StoryWorks and Walpole to help tell these stories internationally.
And finally, how is the GREAT campaign supporting the project?
GREAT is active in over 145 countries and we are working closely with Walpole and BBC StoryWorks to amplify the stories across out international audiences. We are also supporting several documentaries as part of the second series of content to share more stories of the UK’s most innovative luxury brands with sustainability and climate action at their heart.
