Last night at The Dorchester in London's Mayfair, over 400 luxury industry creatives, executives and influencers gathered for the Walpole British Luxury Awards 2022 – our twentieth annual celebration of the very best in British luxury. Hosted by Top Boy actor Saffron Hocking (pictured above), the ceremony was attended by guests including Amber Le Bon, Amy Jackson, Eric Underwood, Oliver Proudlock, Miquita Oliver and Francis Bourgeois.

Winners of the evening included design inspiration Thomas Heatherwick, legendary Savile Row tailor Edward Sexton, Scottish distillery The Macallan, and CHANEL for its support of the cultural scene here in the UK.
Our highest accolades of the evening, Sustainable Luxury Brand of the Year and British Luxury Brand of the Year, went to Mulberry and Gleneagles respectively.
This year’s awards trophies were designed by paper artist Helen Musselwhite. The beautiful domes are her artistic interpretation of the Walpole Book of British Luxury 2022 cover, designed by Walpole’s visual partner Cole & Son, which also created the backdrop for the awards ceremony.
The main table gift, a leather passport holder, was provided by Ettinger with additional gifts by JING, Miller Harris and Ruuby.
The black tie event began with a Laurent-Perrier champagne reception, followed by a three-course dinner featuring Hafod cheddar soufflé, Norfolk Black Angus Beef Wellington, and a dessert of roasted apricot tart, accompanied by Berry Bros & Rudd wine and JING sparking tea. The night was capped off with an after-party hosted by Royal Salute which created a signature Mayfair & Salute cocktail and Beefeater Crown Jewel Gibson highballs were enjoyed.
Music for the evening was provided by the exceptional Maia (courtesy of the DJAAYZ, the 1st DJ booking app), with live band BEAT (courtesy of ALR Music) keeping the dancefloor filled until the early hours at the after-party.
A final thanks to our category sponsors: Laurent-Perrier, The Times & The Sunday Times, Elite Associates, Department of International Trade, Istituto Marangoni, and Mishcon de Reya.
