On Tuesday, the Government published an update on the Electronic Travel Authorisation Scheme. Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick announced that the Home Office will be introducing a £10 charge for an ETA application during the rollout period.
This fee will then be reviewed at the end of this period in advance of further roll out of the scheme across 2024, including to the EU and other non-visa national countries.
The scheme will launch for Qatari nationals from 25th October 2023. From 1st February 2024, the scheme will be introduced for nationals of Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
