In a world where we’re always available, how do you separate your personal time from your work time?
To keep my work and personal time separate, I have two phones. My work phone comes out of the drawer in the morning and goes back in the evening, helping me to switch off and keep my personal phone for non-work-related things.
I also try to take Friday mornings off to spend time with my son. This one-to-one time offers pockets of pure separation from work that I have never experienced before and allows me to truly appreciate my time with him.
What’s one thing you do after the work day to help you unwind?
Hot yoga has been my recent go-to. The combination of guided meditation, working out and the heat helps all with unwanted toxins and keeps me feeling my best. Plus, it’s hard to think about anything else when you are that hot!
What activity do you do in your time away from the office that helps you relax and recentre after a stressful week?
I find running and meditation great for reducing my stress levels. There is something about going for a run before anyone else is awake and the streets are still that I find really calming. It sets me up for the day and helps me to focus, it’s also nice to get out for some peace and quiet.

What’s something you’ve read, listened to or seen in your spare time that’s helped you at work?
Let It Go: My Extraordinary Story - From Refugee to Entrepreneur to Philanthropist by Dame Stephanie Shirley is a truly transformational book. Dame Shirley's story is one of the most inspirational I have ever heard and her journey from being a refugee to building a hugely successful company is fascinating. I highly recommend reading her book and also listening to her words first-hand on the episode of Diary of a CEO podcast. She is a phenomenal individual who worked hard for not only her business but equality for women.
After home and the office, where’s your favourite third space?
I really enjoy going to the flower market and often go with my son, Vinnie, who the florists love to see. We walk around the stalls looking at the seasonal flowers and catching up with everyone there. I then choose way too many flowers and have to display them wherever I can at home.
On Sunday night, how do you prepare yourself for the week ahead?
On a Sunday evening, I like to have a bath and plan the week ahead. This starts with tasks that need to be actioned and prioritised, but always develops into what outfits I will be wearing when I complete these tasks. I love fashion and look forward to the week ahead if I have some great outfits in mind.
Best reason you've had to turn your Out of Office on recently?
I recently went on my honeymoon to Mauritius – two years after the wedding and a child later, but it was so worth the wait! My husband, son and I travelled to three different hotels, exploring the area, relaxing and, overall, just spending quality time together. It was a truly unforgettable getaway and one of the best reasons to put my out of office on.
Your go-to Out of Office outfit: In the winter my go-to outfit is high tops, jeans, a baggy jumper, and a beanie. In the summer I swap jeans for shorts and a beanie for sunglasses.
Your happy place anywhere in the world: Kassiopi, Corfu. I spent most of my childhood here and to this day I go back multiple times a year.
Your favourite bar or restaurant: The River Café in London is my favourite restaurant. It’s perfect for a celebratory lunch with friends or a big bowl of pasta solo.
Something you booked recently that you'd recommend: Earlier this year the Moriarty team visited the Maison & Objet trade show in France. We were able to see the up-and-coming trends for the year and meet suppliers from all over the world whilst also indulging in Parisian culture after-hours.
Something you've listened to or read recently that you'd recommend: My favourite person to listen to is Doctor Mark Hyman. He has a great podcast, The Doctor's Farmacy, all about challenging our biology, health, and the full body detox. I am also really enjoying reading Liver Rescue by Anthony William as it’s given me so much insight into toxicity within the body and our surroundings.
A hobby you'd like to cultivate: I would love to be able to play tennis and I am currently looking into lessons so I can beat my husband in a game over the summer.
A luxury that’s actually a necessity: Quality time with the people around you is a real luxury and something that we shouldn't take for granted
Best luxury under £25: There is nothing better than a lovely box of Penhaligon’s extra-long matches, they are fabulous and so totally unnecessary. A true luxury.
