Ian Hardie

Vice President Learning and Development
Sephora Global

Ian joined Sephora in March 2017 from LVMH where he was Group Training and European HR Director, running LVMH House, a Corporate University focused on the development of the Luxury Group’s top talent. Prior to joining LVMH in 2007, Ian worked at London Business School for 10 years; his final role at the school was as Associate Dean of Executive Education. Ian’s early career was in manufacturing (Dowty Group & Ferranti), IT sales (ICL) and Consulting (ASE Group), having studied management at Aston University, in Birmingham.

At Sephora Ian is involved in Talent Development projects including the Global Store Directors Conference (GSDC); Sephora Winning Together 1, 2 & 3 for The Top 250; Global HR Conference; Sephora Forward and LVMH House – creating and running events and moments that bring people together to learn and grow.

Ian works in Paris but lives in London with his wife and 3 children; his 3 passions outside work are sport, especially rugby, travel and family but not in that order.

His final passion is being Chairman of Wave for Change a charity with an innovative approach of “with and not for”, focused on creating spaces and places of true social inclusion.

In April 2021 he will move from Full time Corporate Executive to Part time advisor, consultant and executive coach, as a “fee-lancer” not a “free-lancer”.
