Located at the heart of London’s Trafalgar Square, the gallery is free to visit and currently welcomes over 3 million visitors each year, making the gallery the fourth most visited museum in the world.

The National Gallery is committed to international cultural exchange, bringing part of the world-renowned collection to audiences in Shanghai, Korea and Hong Kong in 2023–2025.

In 2024, the Gallery will celebrate its Bicentenary, with a year- long nation-wide festival of art, creativity, and learning, with significant capital projects to rejuvenate the overall visitor experience and accelerate towards being the Nation’s Gallery.
