Introducing the Walpole Power List 2026

Walpole News
26th January 2026
The annual Walpole Power List celebrates creativity, entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership across a variety of roles at all levels that exist in the British luxury sector. Each honouree on the Walpole Power List 2026 stands out for their commitment to delivering the extraordinary products and experiences at the heart of a sector now worth £81bn to the UK economy, not just over the past year, but for many years into the future.

Each year, the Walpole Power List shines a light on just 50 of the nearly half a million exceptional people whose craft, commitment and talent underpin the business of luxury in the UK. British luxury is an £81bn powerhouse for the UK economy. Its standout success is the result of an industry that profoundly understands the value of human capital: one that invests in skilled, sustainable jobs nationwide, that prizes long-term excellence over short-term gain, and where creativity and commercial rigour sit comfortably side by side. The annual Walpole Power List exists to celebrate the remarkable individuals who drive British luxury’s continued growth: success is always about the people.

Other 'power lists' exist: but what makes Walpole’s unique is its peer-to-peer nomination process. This is not a roll call of titles or hierarchies. It’s not confined to the C-suite, to particular functions or narrowly defined career paths. Nor is it one which offers a listicle of the same names every year. Whether marketing or finance, creative or technical, Chief Exec or sustainability specialist, anyone whose contribution has been recognised and admired by colleagues, peers or the wider Walpole community is eligible for consideration by our panel of senior luxury leaders and DE&I experts (scroll down to meet all of this year's panellists at the bottom of this page).

My gratitude goes to this year’s panel who faced the challenging but inspiring task of selecting 50 people from an outstanding field. Our partner, Luxury Marketing House, which works closely with brands and leaders who value long-term thinking, integrity and excellence, has been invaluable in helping us take the Walpole Power List 2026 to the next level.

I’d also like to thank Laurent-Perrier for generously providing beautifully engraved prizes for each of our Power Listers – a special shout-out goes to Laurent-Perrier’s Daniel Brennan, a former Walpole Power List honouree himself, not only for supporting the Power List, but also for 25 years of supporting Walpole since joining Laurent-Perrier in 2001.

My warmest congratulations go to this year’s remarkable honourees. Taken individually, each person on the list exemplifies excellence in their discipline. Taken together, they offer cast-iron proof that the enduring success of British luxury rests on the skill, strength and brilliance of its people.

The future of British luxury could not be in safer hands.
