This collaboration sees one of France’s most cutting edge innovators in pastry joining forces with, arguably, London’s most food centric hotels – and for only eight days.
Couvreur has curated an entirely new ‘Elevenses’ menu for Claridge’s featuring his most instagram-famous creations including the Paris-Brest as well as his celebrated Chocolate Tonka Bean Éclair which can be purchased and gift-wrapped to take away, or indeed enjoyed in the Foyer from 11am-noon. Claridge’s famed Afternoon Tea will also see Couvreur’s influence as guests will be served his own pastry creations within the hotel’s famous menu, made famous at his Galleries Lafayette patisserie.
Commenting on this upcoming project, Yann Couvreur says: “What an absolute honour to be asked to put my twist on the menus of such an iconic institution. I’m excited to bring a little bit of Paris to London, if only for a week.”
Whilst Claridge’s has a rich culinary heritage we’re also always looking for new creativity and ideas and we’re eager to see what Yann and his team will bring to Mayfair.” says Executive Chef Martyn Nail.
Yann Couvreur’s ‘Elevenses’ pastries will be served everyday (between 4th and 11th September) in the Foyer and Reading Room between 11AM and 12.00PM and are priced at £7.00 (for both dine in and take-away). Afternoon Tea is served every day from 2.45PM to 5.30PM.
