Brands of Tomorrow and British luxury entrepreneurialism
This week, as Walpole prepares to announce the class of 2018 Brands of Tomorrow, we look at what it takes to be a British luxury entrepreneur and how Walpole supports the growth of the sector by helping to secure a long-term pipeline of brands.
In 2007 Walpole launched ‘Brands of Tomorrow’ – an ambitious mentoring programme designed to nurture and support the next generation of British luxury brands with the long-term aim of securing the growth of the sector. A decade – and some 85 up-and-coming luxury brands – later, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the programme with programme partner, Mishcon de Reya at Africa House in September last year.
We invited alumni from the programme and the British fashion designer and luxury entrepreneur Alice Temperley to share their experiences on film of what it takes to build a British luxury business:
