Insights into China Digital (and WeChat) with TONG

Walpole’s China Digital Workshop, in collaboration with Chinese social commerce agency TONG, marked the formal launch of TONG’s inaugural WeChat Report 2020: a snapshot of Walpole members’ presence on China’s most important social media channel.

Hosted at the Intercontinental Park Lane on Monday 2nd March, TONG co-founder Adam Knight talked guests through the latest trends shaping the Chinese luxury sector, with a particular focus on platforms RED and WeChat.

Adam also introduced some of the WeChat Report’s key findings as well as a range of case studies from Jo Malone London, the V&A and Wedgwood, all of whom have led the way in their approach to WeChat marketing over the last 12 months.

The event was concluded with some practical tips related to the ongoing coronavirus issue, as well as a detailed panel discussion featuring Adam, Stephanie Foxley of House of Garrard and Said Chaarawi of Planet Payment.
