What does it mean to you to be named a Walpole 2020 Power List winner?
To be recognised in such illustrious company – among so many inspiring leaders in the luxury field whose talents, innovations and contributions to industry I greatly admire – is a tremendous honour. I feel incredibly fortunate to work in a dynamic, progressive and competitive industry that challenges us as leaders every day, to stay on our toes and raise the bar further in the continual pursuit of excellence.
Why do you think you were named on the List this year?
Being named on this year’s list is a proud and humbling moment, but it is the culmination of the efforts of all my colleagues who pull together to set the pace in luxury hospitality. The true essence of Gleneagles – the very thing that has made our hotel so special for generations – is not created by strategic decisions, beautiful views, sweeping driveways, nor bricks and mortar – but by our team, and I am hugely indebted to them for their tireless efforts to create outstanding experiences for our guests every single day.
