The Walpole Power List The Game Changers: Farrah Storr, Editor in Chief of ELLE UK
Read on for a short interview with Farrah, and click on the video below for an in-conversation between Farrah and Walpole's CEO Helen Brocklebank. Filmed during the inaugural Walpole Festival of Luxury Marketing in September 2020, Farrah discusses how to build a luxury brand with heart – an ambition she has poured into her first year at the helm of ELLE UK, the world’s leading authority on fashion and style.

Farrah Storr is the Editor-in-Chief of ELLE. Prior to this, Farrah was the Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan where she grew the brand to become the No.1 UK women’s glossy. Previously, Farrah was the launch Editor of Women’s Health magazine.

Farrah was included in the GG2 Power List, profiling Britain’s 101 most influential Asians. In 2019 Farrah was awarded Editor of the Year at the PPA Awards, for the second year running and was included in the Evening Standard’s Progress 1000 list of London’s most influential people of 2019.

She is the author of The Discomfort Zone (Piatkus) and a Social Mobility Commissioner.

What does it mean to you to be named a Walpole 2020 Power List winner?

I’m deeply honoured. When I was growing up the world of luxury seemed so far out of reach. So to be on this list is amazing.

Why do you think you were named on the List this year?

I would hope it’s because ELLE shows that there is another way to approach luxury. We have opened our doors wide open to show that anyone and everyone deserves to be part of the luxury world should they so choose.
