With over 20 years’ experience in the beauty industry, shaping some of its most iconic brands, Beatrice Descorps is currently the Global Vice-President of Marketing at Molton Brown. A member of the Leadership Team since 2016, she has been a driving force behind this British icon’s renewed lease of life - treasuring uncompromising quality and celebrating creativity in its perfume- makers, while paving the way in positive luxury.
What does it mean to you to be named a Walpole 2020 Power List winner?
I feel very humbled by this accolade from Walpole whose values I profoundly share. This recognition makes me even more determined- as Molton Brown turns 50 this year- to keep forging a path of excellence, without compromise on quality, creativity and care.
Why do you think you were named on the List this year?
I might have to put it down to my positive activism! I believe that luxury and sustainability should work hand-in-hand. Inspired by our pioneering legacy, I felt Molton Brown ought to pave the way and rewrite the rules. I rallied the rest of the Leadership Team to commit to an ambitious sustainability roadmap. Our partnership with Loop and the launch of our refillable hand wash glass bottle and refill pouch are recent milestones in this journey.
