Walpole in Madrid | The Financial Times Business of Luxury Summit
Walpole yesterday travelled to The Westin Palace in Madrid for the Financial Times Business of Luxury Summit, where we hosted a private dinner for Walpole members attending the Summit, as well as representatives from our sister organisations in Europe: Spain’s Circulo Fortuny and Italy’s Altagamma.
Celebrating its 15th year, the 2019 Financial Times Business of Luxury Summit is being held for the first time in Madrid, a city with a strong and vibrant cultural heritage.
This Summit takes place during a period of continuing political disruption and economic uncertainty and the agenda focuses on the opportunities that can arise for the industry from this fluctuating environment.
The Westin Palace is an icon of luxury hospitality since 1912, located in the heart of the Madrid Art Walk, and was the hotel of choice for international figures including Salvador Dali, Ernest Hemingway, Ava Gardner, Mme Curie and more, and is still today the preferred meeting place for artists, writers and politicians.
