Recognised for her meticulous couture approach, Aiveen Daly has spent nearly two decades redefining the boundaries of her craft. Since founding her London atelier in 2005, she has moved beyond functional upholstery to pioneer a new category of “textile sculpture.” Her practice is a unique hybridisation of heritage techniques – such as 18th-century silk floristry and intricate hand-embroidery – with modern structural engineering.

Berry Bros & Rudd

Craft and Nature: In Conversation with Emma Witter

Tasting: 15th May 2026, 6.30pm to 8.00pm

Location: Berry Bros. & Rudd, 63 Pall Mall, London, SW1Y 5HZ

Berry Bros. & Rudd invites you to join them for an evening that explores the deep connections between craft, nature and sustainability, in conversation with artist and maker Emma Witter and cultural expert and Founder of The Wick, Katy Wickremesinghe.

Witter’s practice is rooted in a close relationship with the natural world. Drawing inspiration from landscape, geology and organic form, her work reflects an intuitive, respectful approach to materials — shaped by time, touch, and a sensitivity to the environment from which they come. For Emma, craft is not simply about the finished object, but about process, provenance and an awareness of how we work with, rather than against, nature.

Set within their historic London Shop, this intimate conversation will explore how these ideas resonate within the world of Berry Bros. & Rudd. From vineyard to bottle, distillery to glass, wine and spirit making is inherently shaped by climate, soil and season, and guided by the careful decisions of skilled growers, makers and blenders. Sustainability, in this context, is inseparable from craftsmanship: a long-term commitment to land, people and tradition.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy a thoughtfully chosen selection of wines and spirits, each reflecting a respect for nature and a considered approach to production.

As Britain’s oldest wine and spirits merchant, Berry Bros. & Rudd has worked with generations of producers who understand that true quality depends on stewardship — of vineyards, raw materials and ecosystems — as much as expertise. It is a philosophy that aligns closely with Emma’s own approach to making.

Emma Witter’s works will be displayed in the shop during London Craft Week and throughout the month of May, inviting visitors to experience her nature-led practice in dialogue with our world of wine and spirits.

Edward Bulmer Natural Paint

Grounded in Colour

Workshop: 11th May 2026, 10.00am to 12.00pm. Demonstration: 11th May 2026, 2.00pm to 5.00pm. Exhibition: 11th May 2026 to 15th May 2026, 9.30am to 6.00pm and 16th May 2026, 9.00am to 5.00pm

Location: Edward Bulmer Natural Paint, 69 Pimlico Road, London, SW1W 8NE

Edward Bulmer Natural Paint creates richly pigmented, breathable paints made entirely from plant-based binders and twelve earth and mineral pigments. Free from plastics, acrylics and synthetic dyes, the paints are crafted to be beautiful, durable and rooted in historic knowledge of traditional craftsmanship, materials, and sustainable practice.

For London Craft Week 2026, Edward Bulmer Natural Paint partners with the Soil Association to present Grounded in Colour, a programme exploring the relationship between soil, earth pigments and colour. Launching on Earth Day and unfolding throughout London Craft Week, the events mark the beginning of a year-long collaboration focused on material origins, sustainability and craft.

On Monday 11th May, the programme includes two events led by artist Caroline Ross. The day begins with an in-depth, hands-on workshop for a small group of participants, tracing how pigments and paints should begin not in a factory, but in the ground beneath our feet. Working directly with raw rocks, soils and clays, participants learn how to process natural materials into usable pigments and create their own handmade paint to take home.

In the afternoon, the showroom opens for a live demonstration, welcoming drop-in visitors to learn about the pigment-making process and engage with the materials, tools and techniques involved. This informal session offers insight into traditional craft methods and the transformation of raw earth into colour.

Together, these events invite visitors to reconnect with the material origins of paint, celebrating the earth as both a source of colour and a vital natural resource.

During London Craft Week 2026, Atelier Seventy-Six will open its doors for a seven-day celebration of contemporary craft, transforming the townhouse into a dynamic, lived-in space shaped by making, learning and exchange.

Across the week, each room of the house will be dedicated to a different craft discipline, with one maker highlighted per day. Each day will bring a particular craft into focus. Live demonstrations and intimate classes will take place in the basement studio space, offering audiences the opportunity to observe techniques up close, ask questions and gain direct insight into process, skill and material knowledge. These sessions are designed to foreground making as a form of thinking, and to reveal the time, decisions and expertise behind each discipline.

Founded by Emma Louise Payne in 2025, Atelier Seventy-Six is a platform for meaningful exchange between makers, materials and audiences. The programme reflects the studio’s commitment to contemporary craft as a living practice, one that moves between experimentation and tradition, function and expression. Over the course of the week, the house will continually shift as new makers take focus, creating an evolving environment that invites visitors to return, linger and engage.

Savoir

The Language of Colour: Curated by Mayfair Design District

Exhibition: 11th May 2026 to 14th May 2026, 10.00am to 6.00pm; 15th May 2026, 10.00am to 6.15pm; 16th May 2026, 10.00am to 6.00pm

Location: Savoir Mayfair, 6a Bourdon Street, London, W1K 3PB

This installation at Savoir’s flagship Mayfair showroom considers colour as a language within contemporary design and craftsmanship, and its capacity to influence how we experience rest and wellbeing.

Through a curated selection of objects and materials, the exhibition explores how colour communicates identity, emotion and cultural narrative within crafted forms, while also shaping the atmosphere of the spaces we inhabit. From bold palettes to nuanced tonal contrasts, contemporary makers use colour and materiality to create environments that engage the senses and encourage a sense of calm and balance.

Presented within Savoir’s focus on rest and wellbeing, the exhibition reflects a broader idea: that the quality of rest is shaped not only by what we sleep on, but also by the environment that surrounds us. Just as a Savoir bed is crafted around the individual through heritage craftsmanship and carefully selected materials, the works on display demonstrate how thoughtful design decisions can quietly enhance everyday life.

In this context, colour becomes more than a visual gesture; it becomes part of a wider language of design that shapes atmosphere, comfort and the experience of rest in a fast-paced world.
