Work/Life Balance | Caroline Jennings, Head of Marketing and Communication, Cadogan
Today’s Work/Life Balance is with Caroline Jennings, Head of Marketing and Communication at Cadogan, who resolves to this year help make Sloane Street one of the world’s most beautiful luxury shopping destinations, and to make Chelsea in Bloom, bigger and more beautiful than ever with this year’s ‘Under the Sea’ theme.
We have a really exciting year ahead – the objective, as ever, is to work closely with the neighbourhood here to celebrate and strengthen such a wonderful part of London.
There is always so much happening in Chelsea, but 2019 feels like a milestone year. We will be completing the line-up of independent artisans on Pavilion Road, planning to begin major public realm investment to ensure Sloane Street becomes one of the world’s most beautiful luxury shopping destinations; and leading on a ‘vision’ and strategy for the King’s Road to celebrate its extraordinary heritage, while reigniting its spirit of creativity and innovation. We’re working with a number of partners on this, including London College of Fashion whose students are considering the future of retail, with some brilliant themes and ideas emerging.
The year will also see several major food, drink and ‘wellbeing’ openings across the area – including the glamorous Belmond Cadogan Hotel and architecturally innovative Duke of York Restaurant. And I’d like to make our largest event of the year, Chelsea in Bloom, bigger and more beautiful than ever with this year’s ‘Under the Sea’ theme!
The usual – more yoga, running and reading. The essentials that make me happier. My daughter is almost 3 and finding everything incredibly exciting, so I’d like to make sure we travel more as a family to feed her mind – and ours too!
