Tell us what you do?
I design and handcraft pieces of fine jewellery and objet d’art for clients who appreciate British craftsmanship and unique design. I design all of my pieces myself and the process is often narrative led and involves a lot of sketching and developing of ideas on paper. I am passionate about being British-made and source all of my gemstones and materials in Hatton Garden, London, to help support the British jewellery trade, and to ensure that the finest quality craftsmanship is used in my pieces.
What do you love most about your job?
I love gemstone shopping and the excitement that comes with conceiving a new collection. I am fastidious about the initial research that goes into a chosen concept, as I want to ensure that any concept I use as inspiration is factually accurate. I really enjoy this part of the process and the endless possibilities that arise once I start designing.
I also enjoy the collaborations and events side of my business, with a recent highlight having been working with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. I worked with a friend of mine, Timothy Everest MBE, who is an amazing tailor, to create some special pieces to compliment the colourways of the Rolls-Royce Dawn, and we hosted a series of imaginative events at their Goodwood HQ.
Meeting current and new clients is also a lovely part of my job, as the relationship often turns into a friendship, and I am fortunate enough to be able to make special pieces for them which mark happy occasions in their lives or their families’ lives.
