The Interview Range Rover on pioneering personal connections through its VIP Handover Experience

To cultivate close relationships with its most exclusive clients, Range Rover has curated its bespoke service into a series of stages that specifically connect their customers to the people creating their cars while delivering the height of personalisation. From first conversations to seeing the finished product on the Solihull factory floor, we asked the Range Rover team to tell us more about the thinking behind its VIP Handover Experience and what is says about the brand's luxury values.

What does the VIP Handover Experience entail?

The main aim of the experience is to make our clients feel special. Clients who place an order for our most exclusive models are invited to book a selection of experiences which really help to elevate our brand. Throughout these experiences, our team of experts are on-hand to provide our clients with the knowledge and confidence to make the most of their new Range Rover.

In our 'Enhanced Configuration Experience', clients can choose from a number of colour combinations and trims, while clients who opt for our 'Exclusive Collection Experience' are chauffeured from their home to our Solihull factory. After refreshments, they are then guided through a personalised tour of our Kingmakers exhibit, which celebrates the history of Range Rover, and of our key production areas, where they can watch the car that they have ordered being built on the production line. The experience ends with the unique, exhilarating reveal of their brand-new car; it’s an incredible memory for our clients to take away.

What was the inspiration behind creating this VIP Handover Experience?

The desire to elevate the client experience to a more personalised level. Our team of relationship managers are empowered to develop meaningful and long-lasting relationships with our clients by understanding their needs and delivering a tailored experience at every touch-point.

Why is it important that Range Rover offers this service to customers?

Range Rover intends to be the leader of modern luxury. This ambition goes beyond our vehicles, extending into our services and experiences too. Our 'VIP Handover Experience', alongside our network of Range Rover house events, are great examples of this holistic approach.

How does the VIP handover experience reflect Range Rover’s company values?

Range Rover leads by example. For over 50 years, it has guided the sector with breathtaking modernity, peerless refinement and unmatched capability. A Range Rover is just as at home in the countryside as it is within the city; it ensures our clients enjoy the pinnacle of luxury travel irrespective of their destination. Yet, we understand that, as a modern luxury brand, we must deliver more than a typical automotive experience; we must create an emotional connection for our clients too.

What is your favourite part of the experiences you offer?

The reveal is a world-first experience unique to Range Rover. Among our collection of experiences, this part is kept a secret from our clients. It is so heartwarming to witness them seeing their car for the very first time.
