Work

The Royal Academy of Dance is approaching two milestones and my professional focus will be centred on them both. 2020 marks 100 years since the Academy was founded in 1920 and we will be celebrating our past, our present and our future with an exciting and varied programme of events, both here in the UK and around the world.

2020 will also see the completion of our new purpose built international headquarters in Battersea. With state of the art studios, performance space, library, archive and offices, the new HQ will provide the Academy with a stunning new home for dance.

With 14,000 members worldwide, with operations and offices in 83 countries, with almost a quarter of a million candidates taking RAD ballet examinations each year, I am proud to lead an organisation whose mission is to promote the practice and enjoyment of dance – an art form that has universal appeal.

Life

With so much to deal with over the next twelve months, my resolution is merely to survive!
