“Our 110th year promises to be just as exciting as our first” pledged CEO Amedeo Felisa on 15 January 2023 – 110 years to the day since founder Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford officially formed the partnership that went on to create the first Aston Martin car. The marque has firmly delivered on its promise, with 2023 proving to be a landmark year delivering industry-leading product innovation, unprecedented brand desirability and strengthened financial position enabling further investment in UK.
The globally acclaimed launch of the world’s first ‘Super Tourer’, DB12, the opening of the brand’s first flagship luxury location, Q New York, and the overwhelming demand for its 110th anniversary model, Valour, provide just three phenomenal examples of Aston Martin’s ability to transcend the automotive world in 2023 through innovation and excellence, representing the best of British on a global stage.
In April, one year on from the inception of its sustainability strategy, ‘Racing. Green.’, Aston Martin took another step to becoming a world-leading sustainable ultra-luxury business by achieving carbon neutral manufacturing at its Gaydon and St Athan facilities. And in July, Aston Martin announced it was accelerating its ambition to create the world’s most highly desirable electric performance cars. The investment in electrification forms part of a £2bn commitment to advanced technology over the next five years, while the company is also making significant investment in training, education and apprenticeships.
