Our October playlist has been curated by Mats Klingberg, Founder of cool menswear reatiler, Trunk Clothiers. Founded in 2010, Trunk's two shops – one on Marylebone's Chiltern Street and one n Zurich’s Seefeld quarter – are sites of pilgramage for men looking for a curated edit of emerging and established brands from Japan, Europe, the USA and beyond. However, in recent years, Trunk has also attracted attention for its in-house label – the latest collection of which has just dropped in the brand's stores and online here. Peppered with fuzzy Shetland sweaters, corduroy outerwear, and soft wool suits, it's a masterclass in pulling off that relaxed-yet-tailored vibe that's become Trunk's signature. Speaking of relaxed, Mats has crafted a playlist that's just as laid-back and stylish as the clothes his brand is known for.
"I go a long way back with many of these songs, from when living in Stockholm, New York, London and Zurich and from being on various road trips across Europe and holidays around the world," says Mats of the tracks he's selected. "It's incredible how music can take you to places and special moments throughout your life. This playlist takes from relaxing times with friends on a sunny island in the Stockholm archipelago to having nice cocktails in New York, chillaxing in London after a busy working week, lounging in the sun in Lake Zurich, and driving through Galicia in Spain.
