Royal Academy of Dance

The Royal Academy of Dance aims to promote the knowledge, understanding and practice of dance internationally. As a leading dance education and teacher training organisation, they are committed to supporting our international members at every step of their dance careers to ensure they reach their potential.

The Academy’s role today is one which upholds the core values of their founders in setting and maintaining standards of excellence in dance education and teacher training, while not being afraid to lead and embrace change in order to meet the demands of an ever-evolving global environment.

From the Genée International Ballet Competition – the Academy’s flagship event and one of the ballet world’s most prestigious competitions – through to Step into Dance, a partnership project with The Jack Petchey Foundation (JPF) offering extra-curricular dance opportunities in 150 schools throughout 18 London boroughs, the range and scope of the Academy’s work is incredibly varied and far-reaching.
